So, what is NIS 45,000 worth?

Their reputation, apparently.

NIS 45,000 is approximately USD 12,000.

Almost $12K USD. I wonder if it included their legal fees (does Israel go with the English or the American rule?) or just actual damages.
Is there anything singular or distinctive about Falun Gong art? Was it really an art exhibit, without getting into what is really art, or more political statement?

That does seem steep for court costs alone. I could believe it included attorney fees.

The Hebrew version (see here) says the university was ordered to pay NIS 45K for “trial expenses and legal fees”. Having the losing party pay the winning party’s costs is common in Israel.

I couldn’t tell from the article. Is it against the law to bow to economic and political pressure in Israel? If not, why is the court involved?
