Over at Prawfs, Dan Markel is issuing a charity challenge for Haiti: “With this post, we’re issuing a challenge. For now, our family will match contributions until they sum up to total of $1200.” I just donated $500 to the American Red Cross in response to Dan’s challenge, and I hope you will consider giving, too. (I realize it’s sort of cheesy to announce one’s donations, rather than just to give silently; my hope is that setting an example publicly makes folks more likely to give.)
