Oh, and try Trader Joe’s 29-spice blend in one of those mixes as well. Quickly adds a nice zest to bread that otherwise needs butter.
I’ll vouch for their regular 5-minute bread recipe, and state that it does far better than any breadmaker I’ve ever used. Presumably their whole wheat recipe works just as well.
I have not made this recipe, but it looks very weird, and unlike any bread recipe I’ve ever seen. According to the recipe (I think??), you measure out the ingredients and just leave them, and somehow they magically combine and rise. In every bread recipe I’ve done (and I’ve made about 75 different breads in my cooking experiments), you always put the ingredients together, AND THEN, mix them. By hand, by stand mixer, by auto bread machine. All mixing methods will work. But you don’t just pour (for example) the wet into the dry and just leave it there. Hmmm.
Eugene, is it possible that Krisina just forgot to include that critical mixing step? Did she include it, but it’s a viewing problem with my browser? Maybe she just assumed that it’s so obvious that anyone making bread from scratch would automatically know to do? Or is this really a recipe where you just add the ingredients and leave them unmixed?

I use a Zojirushi 2 lb. Home Bread Baker. It has two paddles and can handle fresh ground red wheat. A great recipe to use with the bread maker is http://info.breadbeckers.com/zojirushi-bread/
Find the Zorjurushi bread machine made it easier to put fresh bread back into my life.. I spend about five minutes of prep time which includes grinding the wheat (whispermill). Come back a few hours later and have a very good loaf of bread.
