I thought what on Earth is the owning a Canadian thing about?

The article was actually pretty well read.

    2. FantasiaWHT says:

      That is an interesting article.

    3. John Elwood says:

Oh sure, I’ve wondered “why can’t I own a Canadian?” Who hasn’t? But it’s listed #1, above “why is the sky blue”?

    4. troll_dc2 says:

Does the Bible applies in Canada the way it does in the United States? If so, can a Canadian logically ask about owning an American?

    5. Jerry Mimsy says:

      I like “Is there”:

      #1: is there school tomorrow
      #2: is there a god
#3: is there going to be a transformers 3

I don’t think those questions are orthogonal. (Also like that the Masons show up.)

    6. Northern Dave says:

Oddly I had to explain #1 to my 2nd born when he was about 4 years old. We were in a large metropolitan Sears store and he pointed at a little girl about his own age and said, “We buy that little girl and take her home!”. I then had to explain that in Canada we can’t (yet/yet again) buy and sell people…he was very confused but accepted it the way young children do though with some seeming reservations even after an extensive lecture on the moral evils and Devine proclamations against slavery………

PS at least on location on the web with that question is found here:

Fun satire maybe, but not really well read…..(eg shellfish are to be detested ie – not eaten – but aren’t an affront to God, they aren’t an abomination which is a thing or choice which is).

If you live by the Mosaic law there is no reason you can not own Canadians. Just make sure they’ve had their shots and it’s OK with Immigration :-)

Google crew do it on purpose for publicity. They are messing around with the boss like Disney´s crew .

    9. Jon Rowe says:

I remember Alan Dershowitz quoting the article in his debate with Alan Keyes. And as the linked website shows, a speech given on the West Wing was based on that letter.

      Wow. How utterly banal.

    12. Sarcastro says:

      Desiderius: utterly banal

[West Wing banal? More like the banality of awesome!

      Mmm, escapism.]

I have actually Googled #2 before. The answer is kind of interesting.

    14. theobromophile says:

“How” gives you “How to kiss” as response #3 and “How to get pregnant” as response #5.

Although both are related, neither one is best accomplished whilst sitting at a computer, IMHO.

    15. Andrew says:

      Try “Why Does”.

    16. Desiderius says:

      Sarcastro,

      “West Wing banal?”

Nah, it could be inspiring, if somewhat parochial.

I was referring to Dr. L’s proof-texting, and the fact that counter-proof-texting was evidently such a popular activity that it made #1 on Google.
