apparently stems from the name of a tree, which might in turn stem from the French word for “to crumble,” the Spanish and French words for glowing coals, or possibly the Arabic word for saffron? Don’t confuse this with another country, not far away, the name of which apparently stems from a feature of its trees, or yet another, also not far away, the name of which apparently means “many trees.” Plus there’s another country, much further away, which might also be named after a tree, though that is apparently contested.
