During our long-delayed honeymoon in May, my wife and I will be visiting Istanbul, along with several locations in Greece. Among globe-trotting readership, I’m sure there are at least a few people who have been to Istanbul. I hope one of you might be able to answer the following question: Is Istanbul one of those cities where safety concerns make it essential to arrange transportation from the airport in advance, or is it safe to take an ordinary taxi from the airport? I suspect the latter, but wanted to make sure.
