As, for instance, the Kennedys and their politicking to keep their views pristine while imposing the things on the rest of us.
Edsall and Edsall, some years ago, wrote a book on liberalism--they were generally for it but understood that the costs imposed on most of the population were bad marketing--noted the phenomenon. Those pushing various solutions have no intention of being inconvenienced by them.
The people pushing the low-income housing in Yonkers 'way back lived in lily-white, sometimes gated, upscale communities. They called the protesting Yonkerites racists.
Same-oh.
From Al Gore's gigantic gas bill to those flying in private jets to concerts for the environment, the delusion and hypocrisy of this crowd is stunning.
Here in L. A., the mayor and the city officials have been telling everyone to conserve water. But today's L. A. Times has an article showing that they use much more water than the average homeowners and haven't cut back a bit.
"Only the little people conserve" should be the motto of the pseudo-green.
Yeah. They are. Point is, the folks who live there don't get to choose.
Only our masters get to choose.
Just remember: Liberals pick your pockets to pay off their political constituents.
Now, what that has to do with qualifications for being state treasurer... I don't begin to know.
It's kind of like when candidates for random offices pronounce themselves pro-life or pro-choice, even though the offices for which they're running have about as much say over abortion laws as they do on Mongolian foreign relations.
Then again and far more telling still, it isn't Republicans/conservatives who have begun to consider how they might resurrect the "Fairness" Doctrine in order to effectively censor and curtail Stewart's Daily Show. To the contrary, it's the Dems and Left who are considering that offensive.
