A Law Clerk's Ode to the Vinson Court:
In the latest Green Bag, John Q. Barrett has this fun little article (with some classic pictures) on some amusing lyrics about the Supreme Court written by William Rehnquist when he was a law clerk for Justice Jackson.
Mike& (mail):
OK, that article is hilarious in light of the Kozinski nonsense. Why?

First, WHR "grinned" when counsel said, "beaver shots." Then, in a caption to the photo on page 6, it is said that WHR was "cavort[ing]" with a fellow law clerk near a fountain. In context, I think "cavort" made much more sense than Glover's usage in his Kozinski smear piece.

Funny timing, in any event.
