David Lat notes at ATL that, as far as he knows, Justice Souter has not yet hired anyone for clerkship positions in his chambers that will begin this summer. As David notes, Justice Souter traditionally hires last, so this isn't necessarily a sign that he doesn't plan to hire anyone (which presumably would suggest a plan to retire).
