If so, you might want to note the first three definitions of the word “teen,” from the Oxford English Dictionary:
1. Harm inflicted or suffered; injury, hurt, mischief; damage.
2. Irritation, vexation, annoyance; anger, wrath, rage; spite, ill-will, malice.
transf. Something vexatious, a cause of annoyance; a trouble.3. Affliction, trouble, suffering, grief, woe.
As they say, I am not making this up. Note, though, that the OED marks these definitions as “arch[aic]” and “Obs[olete]” — an obvious error.
