Tomorrow (Monday), the Cato Institute will be holding an afternoon conference on Brother, Can You Spare A Trillion? Lessons from the New Deal and Great Depression. Registration information is here. The conference features a keynote address by Amity Shlaes, author of the bestseller The Forgotten Man: A New History of the Great Depression. From 3:15-4:30p.m. I will be speaking at a session on “The Constitutional Legacy of the New Deal” along with Jeff Rosen and David Schoenbrod. My talk is entitled, “What the New Deal Court Did Not Do.” You may be surprised at the answer.
