I posted on this awhile back. But in light of the renewed interest in payment card fees as a result of the Durbin Amendment to the financial regulation reform bill, I thought I’d post again. There will be a half-day conference next week at the Willard Hotel on the economics and regulation of payment card fees. I’ll be presenting a new paper as the lunchtime keynote speaker, but there an excellent full morning program of various panels and a morning talk by Tim Muris. I’m especially looking forward to the early morning roundtable discussion moderated by the always-interesting Megan McArdle.
Registration info is here.
My paper is now available through the International Center for Law and Economics website and can be downloaded here. Geoff Manne, the president of the ICLE, has a blog post on the paper here.
