It’s a new year, and a new pile of books has found its way to my nightstand. There are still books left over from last year (as there always are), and I’m sure many new books will catch my eye. Here are the books that I’m currently reading (or about to start):
- Bryan Caplan, The Myth of the Rational Voter: Why Democracies Choose Bad Policies – One of the readings for a conference I’m attending in January.
- Steven Lubet, Fugitive Justice: Runaways, Rescuers, and Slavery on Trial – A history of legal conflicts over the fugitive slave laws.
- Seth Stern and Stephen Wermiel, Justice Brennan: Liberal Champion – The new biography of one of the most influential post-War justices.
- Stephen R. Donaldson, Against All Things Ending – The third book in the Last Chronicles of Thomas Covenant series.
