Michael Dreeben on Supreme Court Advocacy, Appellate Practice, and the SG’s Office

Michael Dreeben is the Deputy Solicitor General of the United States who specializes in criminal law. He has argued 77 cases in the Supreme Court, and he’s one of the very best advocates who appears regularly before the Justices. This past fall he was a visiting professor at Duke Law School, and he sat down for an interview with Duke lawprof Sara Sun Beale about Supreme Court practice and arguing appeals for DOJ.
