This week, I will participating in not one but two panels on the individual mandate litigation. The first will be at the Brookings Institution on Wednesday, March 2, where I will be joined by David Rivkin (counsel for the states in the 26 state anti-mandate lawsuit), and also by former acting Solicitor General Walter Dellinger and Simon Lazarus of the National Senior Citizens Law Center. Dellinger and Lazarus will defend the constitutionality of the mandate, while Rivkin and I will argue against it. The event will run from 10 AM to 12. Details here.
On Thursday, Dellinger, Lazarus, and I will be discussing the same issue (along with Neera Tanden) at a panel at the Center for American Progress, which will run from 12:30 to 2 PM.
Both events are open to the public.
