Brian Leiter has posted a fascinating interview with Ronald J. Allen, a distinguished professor of criminal procedure and evidence, about Northwestern Law under its somewhat controversial former Dean. I admit to particular interest in Allen’s view because I interviewed at Northwestern when I was on the entry-level market in 2001: I was sufficiently turned off by the Dean’s take that it played a significant role in my withdrawing from consideration there and accepting an offer at GW instead. But I think the interview should be of broader interest to readers who follow legal academia.
