Geography and Families

I’m thinking of a geographical entity (call it A) that contains another geographical entity (call it B); and A and B are named after fairly close family members. Indeed, A turns out to be moderately big, a little larger than Great Britain. What such pairs can you think of?

To give an example of a near miss along these lines, Charlotte, North Carolina is apparently named after the wife of King George III, and the neighboring state of Georgia is named after her grandfather-in-law, King George II. But of course Charlotte is not actually inside Georgia. I’m looking for entities where one is part of the other.
