My favorite lawyer’s movie is Anatomy of a Murder. Here is the very interesting trailer for the film (which I posted here about 2 years ago).
I have seen this film more times than I can count and highly recommend it to future lawyers. The screenplay is based on a novel by a Michigan state supreme court justice using the pseudonym Robert Travers (and who appears in the trailer!), which was based on a real life incident in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The film was shot on location in Michigan, and features a sound track by Duke Ellington (who has a cameo in the film).
It was way ahead of its time and, even today it captures what it is like to try a big murder case.
