The published version of my auto title lending paper has just been published by the Loyola Consumer Law Review. Although the topic may seem somewhat obscure, this turned out to be one of the most interesting papers I’ve done in awhile. In particular, I was really surprised by the range in the type of people who use this type of credit, and especially the degree of its use by independent small businesses and unbanked consumers (especially immigrants).
A special thanks to the editors of the Loyola Consumer Law Review. I just submitted this article in March and it has already appeared. By a surprise quirk a slot opened up for immediate publication in issue 4 of their volume, and they promised to turn around the article in just 2 months. Which they did. Which is just fabulous. The editors were great, enthusiastic, and professional, and I wanted to make sure to give a shout-out to them for following through on such a quick turnaround.
The pdf of the final paper is available here.
