The recent disclosure that Mark Felt was “Deep Throat” of Watergate fame led me to wonder recently what the Watergate scandal would have looked like if it had happened in 2005. There’s at least a chance that Felt wouldn’t have leaked to Bob Woodward & Carl Bernstein at the Washington Post, or their 2005 equivalents. Instead of taking elaborate steps to meet in garages and make signals with flower pots, Felt could have just started an anonymous blog.
