Judge William Bryant of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia has passed away at the age of 94. The Washington Post obituary is here. If my memory is correct, Judge Bryant was the second African-American federal judge in the District of Columbia; he was confirmed to the District Court in 1965, just one year after Spottswood W. Robinson, III.
