John Taylor of the Hoover Institution has a short post linking to an interview and his new book on rules-based economic policy. One of his 5 principles is the importance of preserving the rule of law in times of crisis, with some kind words for my article on that theme. Click through to the interview, which provides a summary of his new book.
His book Getting Off Track is one of the best books I read about the crisis, correctly laying a substantial portion of the blame on the Fed’s doorstep as well as containing his extended (and I think largely persuasive) discussion of the purported relationship between Lehman’s failure and subsequent events.
