One of the privileges of being a professor is getting official college publications mailed right to my inbox. Here's a highlight from today's "George Mason E-Files":

Did you know that each day, the average American city-dweller consumes 15 pounds of fossil fuels, 150 gallons of water, 3.3 pounds of food, and produces 120 gallons of sewage, 3.4 pounds of garbage, and 1.3 pounds of pollutants? If they can come up with some way to "recycle" the water that I consume and the sewage that I produce each day, then I must admit that really would be amazing. I'd just hate to be the guy who gets the recycled versions...
