Last year, I authored a book review in the Michigan Law Review, Do We Need a New Fourth Amendment?, on a new book by Vanderbilt lawprof Christopher Slobogin, Privacy at Risk: The New Government Surveillance and the Fourth Amendment. In the latest issue of the Minnesota Law Review, Professor Slobogin has an essay responding to my book review and defending his views. Unfortunately I don’t expect to be able to respond in detail (beyond generally standing behind the arguments of my book review), but I did want to thank Professor Slobogin for his careful and thorough response.
